Welcome to Free2Luv! We support LGBTQ+ youth by providing FREE RESOURCES that help explore identity and promote emotional and cognitive awareness through art. During Covid, we created EXPRESS IT! to nurture and support teen and young adults’ mental wellness.

Our EXPRESS IT! program is specifically designed to support personal growth through artistic expression and is available for free to organizations serving LGBTQ+ teens and young adults.

EXPRESS IT! is, at times, an activity book, a trusted friend, a creative outlet, and a private journal. With 75+ empowering and engaging exercises and prompts, EXPRESS IT! induces creativity,  inspires youth to communicate both visually and through writing, and helps them develop a positive sense of self while training their brains to think critically and connect the dots between thoughts and actions.

In addition to the activity book, we offer free virtual workshops utilizing the EXPRESS IT! books that are led by experienced facilitators. These themed workshops not only promote self-expression through art but also support connection with other LGBTQ+ youth.

I work as a Program Coordinator for a grassroots nonprofit based in South Carolina. We serve LGBTQ+ and ally youth from the ages of 10 to 24 and these 'Express it!' workbooks have been so helpful in exploring our feelings together during peer discussion groups. LGBTQ+ young people are at an increased risk of mental health issues like depression and anxiety, so they need all the tools available to help them navigate their emotions, especially in a world that is currently trying to legislate them out of existence. We will continue using these books as they are so useful in helping process complex or confusing emotional states. As we move through these hard times, resources like the 'Express it!' workbook will be invaluable for our youth and their loved ones. We are tremendously grateful for this connection!
